PE and Games
All kit is required to be in on a Monday for 3M, although our sports sessions are Thursday and Friday afternoon if further slots appear in the school we may take up the opportunity to deliver a third PE/Games activity.
All equipment should be named, if possible, and kept in a named bag which will be kept in the 3M wooden cabinets.
Daily reading is encouraged and will be rewarded by children receiving stickers towards
certificates and moving up through the book bands. Please write in your child's planners when
they have read followed by a signature from an adult. We check this weekly and award stickers accordingly.
These will be sent home every Monday with your child lending them the opportunity to practise at home daily in
preparation for the weekly spelling test on a Friday morning.
TT Rockstars are now been used in Year 3 and this online system enables children to practise their timetables by completing online maths games to develop their knowledge and speed of solving time tables problems. Children have passwords in the front of their planners for them to try the games and activities at home. No formal timetables test will take place now.
Currently we set children My Maths homework on a Monday, this is to be completed by the following Monday.
We also offer Maths clubs where the children can complete their maths homework twice a week, if interested get your child to ask me.
We ask kindly that at least 2 pieces of homework from the homework grid to be completed
every half term. Thee grid will change depending on the topic. The current homework grid can
