Cook School

Cook School is a fantastic resource offering children the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills - not only creating delicious food but also learning how to follow instructions, read a recipe and most importantly to clean up! Each year group will cook for a 4 week block at some point during the academic year.

Cook School is run by our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and any other family members we can find! Running a cook school session involves:

Modelling how to follow the weekly recipe to a small group of children

Assisting children with following a recipe and creating the weekly dish

Supporting children with washing up and cleaning the kitchen after use

If you are interested in becoming a cook school volunteer please complete the timetable below showing your availability across the first four week block. Also if you require a DBS please collect a copy from and return ASAP to the office.

This year 16/17 we have cooked:

Y3

Roman Salad

Ancient Roman Cheesecake

Roman Style Loaf

Honey Spiced Roman Cakes

Y6
